Τις επικίνδυνες περιοχές για τη μετάδοση του ιού του Δυτικού Νείλου έδωσε στη δημοσιότητα το ΚΕΕΛΠΝΟ.
Πρόκειται για 17 περιοχές σε Αττική, Θεσσαλονίκη και Ξάνθη. Ειδικότερα, στην Αττική περιλαμβάνονται οι περιοχές: Σπάτα, Παιανία, Μαρκόπουλο, Παλλήνη, Πικέρμι, Ηράκλειο, Μαρούσι, Χαλάνδρι, Βριλήσσια και Πεντέλη, στη Θεσσαλονίκη: Μενεμένη-Αμπελόκηποι, Εύσμος-Κορδελιό, Ωραιόκαστρο και 1ο δημοτικό διαμέρισμα του Δήμου Θεσσαλονικέων.
Τέλος, στη Θράκη, ο Δήμος Ξάνθης, Τοπείρου και Αβδήρων.
